Jonathan Serfaty joined Telstra Ventures in 2017 to head Telstra Ventures’ data science initiative, where he is building out data infrastructure, operations, and algorithms with the goal of improving sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management. He believes that the greatest success is found at the intersection of human intelligence and machine intelligence, and that by augmenting investors with data superpowers, they can find the next big thing earlier and with less bias.
Prior to joining Telstra Ventures, he was a Data Scientist at LinkedIn, focusing on improving B2B Sales and Marketing outcomes through machine learning, working on projects such as lead prioritization, email propensity modelling, and marketing funnel data management. He began his career developing quantitative trading models on Wall Street.
When not deep in code, he can be found in the gym lifting weights or racing on an obstacle course.
